Now a days, spam posts and applications are becoming very popular in the social networking areas because, it comes like real/true news [e.g: Video "A girl is killed in a public place"]. so all of you think, it is true so you will wish to see that videos. So the first step you do;without analyzing it as spam post/application. you will click on that link so what happens next; that post will be posted in your wall without your permission or if it is an application then it will post unusual posts in your wall like it was posted by you. so your friends will think."Oh my friend was posted this news so it must be a true news, so your friends also think to click on that link, so their's account/friends also get the same problems.
So you may ask from me "What to do?, How to identify it as spam post/application?, How to remove the infections? "
To identify the spam post/application:
Method 1:
Copy the link of the post (like shown in the picture)
Go to Google.com
Paste the link in the given text box
Press Enter
If you have found good results for that link in the google searched result then no harm you can click on that link
or else if you have found "No result" or bad result then don't click on that link.
Method 2:
Copy the Title of the post/Application
then do a google search with that title
then make a decision with the shown results in Google searched result.
Method 3:
There are some antivirus like Avast,AVG are providing the link reviewing service, which help us to identify the harmful websites. so we can use that to identify the spam post but it is not very much applicable for this kind of identification so better go with Methods 1,2.
Once you have identified it as spam post or application then the best thing/action you have to do is:
Remove the post or application at same time report it as spam and block it
