Is your installed antivirus program functioning well?

Check your installed Antivirus program:

Would you like to check/test your installed antivirus program to confirm it is  functioning well?
If you say Yes, then you don't need to do big things or download anything like, purposely downloading virus infected files and scanning them with your antivirus program (this way also possible. but it is very risk).

Just follow the following steps:

1. Open Notepad
2. Copy and Paste the following text(marked in light blue color):

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3. Save it as "Virus.exe"

If you have installed powerful antivirus programs (which has something like real time scanner) like Avast
Free Antivirus program then it will detect it in less than 3 seconds. If you didn't install a antivirus program
for your computer which has something like real time scanning then right click on the "Virus.exe" file (find the file, in the location where you have saved it) and select Scan. It should identify it as virus. If not, better change your antivirus.

If your installed antivirus has detected that file as virus then you can ensure that it is functioning.
